Reference material

Compiled from an explicit allowlist of openly licensed sources — principally Wikipedia and Wikidata, under CC BY-SA 4.0. That licence is share-alike: text derived from it carries the same open licence, and each page that uses a source names it with the date it was last checked.

News

Headlines, a short extract, the publisher's name and a link — which is what a feed is published for. Article bodies are never reproduced; publishers own them.

Every feed we read

No feeds are configured yet. When they are, each one is listed here by name — this list is generated from the allowlist itself, so it cannot quietly drift from what is actually being read.

Sacred texts

The ancient texts are in the public domain, but modern translations of them are not — a text being sacred does not make a twentieth-century translation free. Only translations this site can properly license or has made itself appear here.

Images

Photographs are used only where their licence permits, credited on the page that shows them. Where no suitably licensed photograph exists, the site uses its own illustration rather than borrowing one.

Corrections

Errors of fact, and anywhere this site has stated one tradition's position as though it were settled, are worth reporting and will be fixed. Every change to reference material passes editorial review before publication.
