Shreyansanatha
The eleventh Tirthankara.
The eleventh Tirthankara, born at Simhapuri near what is now Sarnath. The name means the auspicious one, and tradition connects it to a lion-throne long disused which his mother was able to sit upon while carrying him.
He is not to be confused with the Shreyansa who offered sugarcane juice to Rishabhadeva and so ended the first alms-fast; the names are close and the confusion is common, but they are different figures separated by ten Tirthankaras.
The rhinoceros is his emblem. He attained nirvana at Shikharji.
This figure is known from tradition; there is no independent historical evidence. That is a statement about the record, not about the tradition.
